Arpit Kala
Publisher, Indian Jeweller (IJ); Director, COUTURE India
Representing the third generation of leadership at Journal House Group, Arpit Kala has redefined the role of publishing and industry events in the Indian jewellery ecosystem with his sharp market insight and strategic innovation.
Joining the family business in 2008, Arpit anticipated the transformational shift to digital early and launched diamondworld.net — India's first comprehensive online diamond marketplace — evolving it into a dynamic content platform delivering industry news, curated multimedia, and global inventory access.
In 2010, he founded Indian Jeweller (IJ) Magazine, a groundbreaking initiative aimed specifically at India's rapidly modernising jewellery sector. Under the IJ brand, he has spearheaded several landmark initiatives: IJ Design Awards — India’s premier jewellery design competition, now celebrating its 15th year in 2025, honouring creativity and craftsmanship.
IJ Knowledge Forum — A pioneering platform bringing together industry thought leaders for high-impact discussions, trends analysis, and innovation sharing at major trade shows.
Recognising the need for a curated, design-forward B2B exhibition, Arpit launched COUTURE India in 2016 — an exclusive, invitation-only trade show that has rapidly become the benchmark for boutique exhibitions in India. Expanding swiftly, COUTURE India now hosts annual editions in New Delhi and Hyderabad, catering to the North and South luxury retail markets.
Driven by a commitment to excellence, innovation, and industry collaboration, Arpit Kala continues to lead Journal House Group into a new era of influence — positioning the company, and its platforms, at the heart of India’s contemporary jewellery revolution.
